Dr. Ming Yen Tan is an ICF-certified Professional Certified Coach (PCC) for Enlightened Leadership, who inspires his clients to gain new perspectives by widening their viewpoint rather than by changing their perceptions. He is results-oriented, and clients benefit from his extensive international experience, particularly across Asia. Ming Yen combines his experience with academic theories to empower leaders to develop the competencies they need to create positive and practical changes in their organizations.

Ming Yen has more than 17 years experience in executive coaching, coach training, personal coaching, management consulting, and corporate training. He has worked with senior and mid-level executives in both the private sector and nonprofit organizations in India, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Thailand. Ming Yen expertly facilitates experiential learning programs in indoor and outdoor activities, such as team building, leadership development, creative thinking, and customer service.

Ming Yen is an adjunct professor at South China University of Technology and Jinan University, China; Middlesex University, University of Bradford, University of Sunderland, University of Wales, UK; and the Open University, Hong Kong. He lectures in various modules, including strategic planning, leadership principles and practices, operations, corporate financial management.

Ming Yen received his doctorate degree in business administration, University of Newcastle and his bachelor of commerce degree and his MBA from Deakin University, Australia. he is a Ken Blanchard Companies consulting associate and certified master trainer in their Situational Leadership II®; certified trainer for their Coaching Essentials®, Situational Self Leadership® and Situational Frontline Leadership®. He is also certified in DISC, MBTI, Booth Company’s 360 Task Cycle® and EQ-i 2.0. He is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant in Australia and a Chartered Management Accountant in the UK.

Ming Yen is Singaporean and resides in Shenzhen, China. His native language is Chinese Mandarin, and he is fluent and coaches in English and Cantonese. He has attended Outward Bound, Australia, and held volunteer leadership positions with the Singapore Scout Association.
